But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:5-6

            This verse to me is again, talking about how Jesus died for our sins. What is interesting to me would be the sheep analogy. We are like sheep because we do draw farther and farther away from out shepherd until we are lost. When we are lost, God our shepherd would always invite us back in and lead the way in our life. Iniquity basically means sinful. The Lord has laid our ugliness and sinfulness onto himself.
