"he will swallow up death forever. The sovereign lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people's disgrace from all the earth. The lord has spoken." Isaiah 25:8
To me I think this verse means that God is sovereign and is always watching over us. I think God shows us he is in control through this verse by saying he will be able to comfort and forgive us. From my interpretation this will happen when the Lord will leave his influence on earth just to show he is here for us and will reign forever.
